As Australia is in the midst of winter, many consumers are looking beyond our shores for inspiration, experiences and travel. Increasingly, Australian brands are doing the same.
This month, we turn our attention outward. From Paris and Antibes to Hong Kong and London, Australian premium brands continue to strengthen their global presence, expanding beyond retail to build cultural relevance, international recognition and long-term growth.
As Australia's luxury market matures, the conversation is no longer solely about international maisons investing locally. It is increasingly about Australian brands earning recognition on the global stage.

SKALE's Perspective
Australia builds Abroad.
For many years, Australia's luxury conversation has centred on the arrival of international maisons and their investment in the local market.
Today, the narrative is beginning to shift.
Australian premium brands are increasingly building influence beyond our borders through international retail, strategic partnerships and cultural storytelling. Rather than simply adapting to the global luxury landscape, they are beginning to shape it.
This momentum extends beyond individual success stories. Australian contemporary fashion has quietly become one of the most visible non-European design communities across leading international department stores, while new initiatives such as the Australian Fashion Council's Paris showroom and WeWearAustralian's New York platform are creating stronger pathways for brands to expand internationally.
This increasingly global mindset is also reflected in Australian luxury consumer behaviour. According to Australia Decoded 2026 report, 36% of Australian luxury consumers regularly purchase luxury goods while travelling overseas, with a further 11% saying they always do.
These developments suggest Australian premium brands are entering a new phase of maturity. International recognition is no longer driven by isolated success stories, but by a broader ecosystem that is gradually building visibility and credibility on the global stage.
